Xbox Game Pass still has some surprises in store for the rest of November; however, its lineup for December remains a mystery. We know that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be the big release, but other exciting titles to close out the year are gradually being confirmed.

Microsoft service users will also enjoy another exciting day-one release, perfect for fans of construction and resource management games. This is made possible thanks to Brimstone and Maximum Entertainment, who decided to bring their new game straight to the service. We’re talking about Overthrown.

As we mentioned, Microsoft has not revealed all the games that will join its service to close out 2024. Despite this, users are expecting several surprises to enjoy during the last days of the year. Now we know that Overthrown will be one of them.

If you haven’t heard of it yet, Overthrown puts you in the shoes of a monarch with a peculiar treasure: a crown with magical powers that can steal souls. You’ll need to use its power to build a kingdom in a desert full of dangerous creatures.

Your mission will be to gather resources, farm, and construct various types of buildings to create a civilization. As your fame grows, more people will join your city. However, this will also attract stronger enemies attempting to overthrow you. It’s an experience you can enjoy solo or in co-op mode for up to six players.

Overthrown will debut on Xbox and PC on December 5. It will launch in early access, allowing the community to help shape its development. The good news is that it will be available on Xbox Game Pass at no additional cost. Below is a video showcasing its gameplay:

"Build, gather resources, farm the land and more to turn your fledgling realm into a commanding, self-sustaining kingdom. As your fame grows, more will flock to your banner – but so will those who have come to overthrow you, including your friends in up to six-player co-op" reads the description.

Xbox Cloud Gaming now lets you play your own titles in the cloud

One of the benefits of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate is access to Xbox Cloud Gaming, a cloud gaming service that originally only allowed you to play the titles available on the platform. The big news is that this gaming alternative for mobile, PC, and consoles has just evolved.

With an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can now stream titles from your collection in the cloud, even if they are not part of the subscription service. Keep in mind that, for now, only 50 titles are compatible.
