Fortnite Crew debuted in 2020, during Chapter 2, Season 5 of Fortnite: Battle Royale, as a subscription service offering exclusive rewards and additional benefits. Since then, it has evolved to justify its $11.99 USD monthly price by delivering increasingly better content to its users.
Epic Games is preparing to further enhance Fortnite Crew by providing even more content at the same price. Currently, the service includes the Battle Royale Battle Pass, 1,000 V-Bucks, exclusive skins, and the Rocket Pass Premium for Rocket League.
The good news is that, in just a few days, subscribers will also receive the passes for LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival at no additional cost. This makes it an extremely appealing offer for all players. On the flip side, Epic announced that the Battle Pass will become more expensive, costing slightly more V-Bucks.
Fortnite Crew Will Include All Franchise Passes at No Extra Cost
In a statement, Epic Games announced that Fortnite Crew will now include the Musical Pass, LEGO Pass, and Fortnite OG Battle Pass at no extra cost. This is excellent news for fans of LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Festival, who will now benefit from the subscription service as well. These changes will take effect starting December 1.
It’s important to note that new subscribers will only be able to unlock premium rewards as long as their Fortnite Crew subscription is active. If they cancel their subscription, they will only retain access until their current subscription period ends, not until the pass expiration date. This policy applies to all passes.
This condition does not apply to current subscribers or those who subscribe before December 1. However, if they cancel and later re-subscribe after that date, they will be treated as new subscribers.
Additionally, subscribers will retain all premium rewards they earn through Fortnite Crew, even if they later cancel their subscription. Epic also clarified that fans will still be able to purchase passes individually, and everything will function as usual.
“If you purchase the Battle Pass, LEGO Pass, or Music Pass separate from Fortnite Crew, you’ll still be able to unlock and claim premium rewards on those passes individually as you normally would.”
The Fortnite: Battle Royale Battle Pass Will Cost More V-Bucks
Another notable change is that the Fortnite: Battle Royale Battle Pass will soon cost more V-Bucks. Epic Games announced that starting December 1, the pass will be 50 V-Bucks more expensive, increasing from 950 to 1,000 V-Bucks. The company clarified that V-Bucks pricing will remain unchanged and detailed further adjustments to the pass.
“The 25 Battle Pass Reward Bundle will now be available for 1,800 V-Bucks (down from 1,850), and the Battle Bundle of both the Battle Pass and 25 Battle Pass rewards will be available for 2,800 V-Bucks.”
