The Nintendo Switch may not be the most powerful console, but it is certainly the best-selling of them all. That's why many companies don't ignore it but rather make a proper port to reach a broader player base. Well, one of those companies is Warner Bros., and it appears that the next game they will bring to the hybrid console will be Gotham Knights.
You read that right; the company is reportedly doing everything it can to make this current-generation game (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S) run on the Nintendo Switch.
Neither Warner Bros. nor Nintendo has issued an official statement on the matter, but we know that the game is in development for the Nintendo Switch thanks to video game rating agencies' listings.
Will Gotham Knights come to Nintendo Switch?
First, the user the_marmolade pointed out that the Singapore rating agency added the Nintendo console to the list of platforms on which the title is available.
Subsequently, it was also discovered that the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) also registered it in their database, suggesting that the announcement of the version is imminent, or at least these agencies know that this version exists after Warner Bros. submitted it for classification.
It goes without saying that the fact that the registrations were made by different agencies reduces the possibility of it being an error.
A port of Gotham Knights for Nintendo Switch may come as a surprise, but if we recall, this isn't the first time Warner Bros. has provided support to the Nintendo console despite its technical limitations. Several months ago, the company announced ports of some Batman titles from the previous generation, and more recently revealed that Mortal Kombat 1 will also have its version for Nintendo Switch.
