Christopher Judge, the actor who plays Kratos, calls for a halt to console wars in emotional speech

It's no secret that console wars are a recurring theme in the video game industry. Every day, hundreds of gamers take to social networks to defend their favorite platform and, on many occasions, attack the competition. While these discussions are often enjoyable, it is clear that many fans take their passion to the limit.

Unfortunately, on many occasions, discussions about gaming consoles turn into a tidal wave of insults and hate messages. It's a real shame, because, at the end of the day, video games are all about enjoyment, regardless of the games and platforms we love.

Precisely, Christopher Judge, the actor who gave life to Kratos in 2018's God of War and 2022's God of War: Ragnarök, asked players to respect other members of the community.

As we told you recently, the BAFTA Games Awards 2023 took place this week to recognize the best titles that debuted last year. While Vampire Survivors took home the top award, God of War: Ragnarök managed to win many awards at the ceremony.

Thus, Christopher Judge won the award for best performance in a leading role. Although his acceptance speech was not as extensive as the one at The Game Awards 2022, he did use the stage to launch a very strong message to the gaming community. Specifically, the prestigious actor called for a halt to the console wars and urged users to be respectful of others.

"Thank you to the fans. Be easier on each other. You have more in common than what separates you. No matter what platform you love, no matter what game you love. You are still part of the gaming community and give each other a break," commented Christopher Judge in his emotional speech.

Unfortunately, the voice actor knows firsthand the toxicity of the gamer community. Years ago, when it became known that he was going to play Kratos, many gamers insulted him. Knowing that Judge has been closer to the community he has become aware of this problem and wishes to find a solution for it and make everyone more united.
