Ubisoft has responded to a recent report from Giant Bomb's journalist Jeff Grubb about a rumor that Roller Champions would get canceled after Season 3.
However, in a statement released today, the company denied it was planning to shut down the free-to-play game, insisting it "isn't getting canceled" and that it "fully supports" the project.
“Hello, Champions! Let’s clear it out of the way first, Roller Champions isn’t getting canceled, and Ubisoft fully supports it,” the developer said in a statement through their official Twitter account.
Great news for players that have been waiting for this game release! Although, despite not meeting its end, Ubisoft is extending the length of the game’s current season, Disco Fever.
This move will happen for two reasons: to release a patch that includes cross-invites so it can deliver on the game’s promise of being a resolutely social experience. The second reason is to give the team more time to solve the issues players have voiced as irritants.
