According to previous revelations, we would have an official release date by now. And yet, we are still not sure when will God of War Ragnarök come out. And from the looks of it, this status is not likely to change anytime soon. Recent updates on Exputer (via my best friend, Tom Henderson) revealed that the announcement that was supposed to happen today was set to appear on PlayStation’s blog. Even a collector’s edition was planned to be announced! But of course, it didn’t.
Henderson’s insight on this failure is that something unexpected got in the way and set the announcement back. This would be completely weird because, according to Henderson, a video and pre-sale strategy were worked up and ready to launch. But on the other hand, he also states that it would be nice to have an entire State of Play dedicated to this release.
And the God of War Ragnarök Collector’s Edition? Here is what Henderson had to say about it: The Collector’s Editions of God of War Ragnarok will feature a 1:1 scale replica of Thor’s Mjolnir hammer, with the two editions being named the Collectors Edition and the Jotnar Edition. The Jotnar Edition comes with just the hammer and the game, while the Collectors Edition comes with other pieces such as some badges, a map of the world, and more.
